Jo is the founder of I-Manifest, an innovative charity that passionately believes new thinking can solve the current youth unemployment crisis. I-Manifest recognizes that in a rapidly changing world, creativity is the new currency. They provide pathways for young people to pursue real, sustainable careers in the creative economy.
With a strong philanthropic and creative background Jo’s previous roles include Founder and Producer at The Philanthropic Foodie, an independent think tank activating Sydney’s cult foodies to raise money for Youth Off The Streets, and as Communications Manager of A Start in Life, where she rebranded and launched the education charity.
Following her early work life in public relations for international skincare brand Ella Baché, Jo worked as assistant to CEO Team Vodafone at advertising juggernaut WPP in London, spent five years as right hand to the Director of We Love Sundays.. Space Ibiza, moonlighted with a record company in Berlin and launched her own fashion label in Ibiza.
“Living a life of use to others" is her mantra and she hopes to inspire others to do the same.

Kate Edwards founded Content Strategy & Creation business KONTENTED in 2011 to address the growing need for consumers and brands alike to engage in great content experiences normally left to editorial or programming teams. The business specialises in everything from short-form brand content strategy and production through to the development of independent and new creative webisode series, long-form TV formats both within the brand-funded and editorial spheres and absolutely everything in between.
FOSTERED works alongside talented individuals across all industries to create exciting opportunities in line with an agreed strategy for their success. FOSTERED strategy is key setting it apart from services offered by PR companies and talent managers. In fact, FOSTERED doesn’t manage talent at all. Rather, FOSTERED will supply the blueprint that any potential managers will use as a tool for success.
INTERSECTION has been born out of the realisation that traditional music models are fast becoming obsolete in this new era of music democratisation. INTERSECTION’s free formed business structure allows it to quickly realise pathway connections, and act upon these efficiently and for the success of its various stakeholders; artists, labels, music providers, brands & agencies but to name a few.
Prior to establishing Australia’s first brand funded content business, KONTENTED, FOSTERED and INTERSECTION, Kate was the, Managing Director of entertainment marketing, publishing and media agency Peer Group Media. Peer Group consisted of 45 staff across six entities, which included weekly street press title The Brag; trade bible The Music Network; talent agency Parker & Mr French; research arm Peer In; a PR arm and a full service agency. B&T Magazine named Edwards one of the thirty media professionals in Australia under 30 in their inaugural ‘Thirty Under 30’ campaign in 2010.
Prior to Peer Group, Kate was the Head of Strategy, Client Services & Sales at XYZ Networks where she was responsible for driving both the commercial interests of the business and the consumer and creative strategies for the channels. Kate’s work at XYZ Networks was nominated for multiple Promax Awards & Astra Awards including Best Client Campaign.
Before joining XYZ, Kate served as Macquarie Radio Network’s Head of Integration and held previous positions as Promotions and Marketing Director, responsible for all Station, Sales and Online Promotions as well as all Marketing activities for 2GB, 2CH and MRN Digital. During her time at MRN, Kate was responsible for maintaining 2GB’s number one rating status within the Sydney radio market for fifteen surveys consecutively and elevating 2CH’s ratings from ninth overall in the Sydney market to fourth. She was nominated for Best On-Air Promotion (05-06), Best Sales Campaign (06-07), Best Promotions Director (06-07) and took out the award for Best Promotions Director (07-08) at the Commercial Radio Awards.
Kate began her media career in radio as a founding member of Sydney’s Nova 96.9. While at Nova her roles ranged from Station’s Client Marketing Manager and Events Manager prior to pursuing an opportunity in hospitality which saw her take on a Group Marketing Manager’s position for a private hotel group.
Over Kate’s career to date, she has worked with some of Australia’s biggest brands including: Optus, Fosters, Lion Nathan, Telstra, Footlocker, Playstation, Sony, Samsung, Diageo, HSBC and Virgin and many more. She has also worked with and for the major media networks including; The Nine Network, The Seven Network, Ten, Foxtel, MCN, Nova 969 and many more.
She currently sits on the board for the Royal Hospital for Women where she is in her third term.
Kate studied a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and Design before discovering her passion for media and holds a Graduate Certificate in Commerce and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Charles Sturt University.
Chris is a lawyer for musicians, managers, artists, producers, booking agents, actors, online content creators, game developers, directors, designers and others in the entertainment and creative industries.
Having worked at two top entertainment firms for years prior to launching his firm, Chris is an expert entertainment lawyerwith an understanding of both legal and commercial issues central to the entertainment and creative industries.
Chris regularly presents on copyright and other legal issues in his area of expertise. Some highlights include appearances at AIM’s Master of Arts Management, Bond University’s Entertainment Law Course, the Telstra Road to Discovery Boot Camp and AIE’s Sydney Incubator.

With more than 10 years of legal and commercial experience, Benjamin has worked with a number of high-profile clients across a range of sectors and industries, both in Australia and internationally.
Prior to establishing Broso Associates, Benjamin was an associate with the international law firm, Baker & McKenzie. In addition to commercial real estate transactions, his responsibilities included conducting high-profile intellectual property litigation. Clients included multinationals such as Mars, Hasbro, Intel and Harley-Davidson.
Benjamin has advised clients in over 30 corporate M&A transactions in the last ten years. This has included acting on behalf of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) in the partial acquisition of Seven Network in 2006 ($4bn), acting for a consortium of bidders for Myers Stores in 2006 ($1.6bn) and acting for Sydney Airport Corporation Limited in relation to the design, construction, operation and management of the proposed Sydney Airport Terminal 2 Retail Development Project ($20M).
Jane holds a bachelor degree in Business Management (Human Resources/ Industrial Relations) and is currently completing her Masters in Teaching (Secondary). She joined Beacon in 2005 after working with Mission Australia for a year on a program with their long term unemployed. She was drawn to the Beacon Foundation due to the early invention of their work and their programs which dealt with the root causes of unemployment.
After spending 3 years with Beacon Jane then moved to the UK where she spent 2 years living and working in London. She spent this time working for a youth based charity which worked with disengaged youth getting them back into education and sustainable employment.
Jane rejoined the Beacon team in August 2010 as State Manager of NSW/ACT.
In early 2014, Jane joined our programs team in the position of National Programs Support Manager.
